About.
From the UK, Sarah’s early career in knitwear design grew in Europe. A foundation that was hands-on; both creative and technical. A scene that was enticing. A place where there was freedom and appreciation to develop techniques. A place where quality materials and the art of workmanship spoke strong.
In 2002, Sarah moved to New York to continue design for some notable brands such as Ralph Lauren and Calvin Klein.
Since 2008, Marin County, CA has been home. During this time she explored new avenues with freelance projects and as an educator for fashion design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
Her most recent work has been to create one-off pieces. Some artistic, some functional but always exploring the use materials that are relevant in the ever evolving conversation of sustainability. Techniques that explore traditional craft but are defined by an edge that is uniquely hers.
